Mike Perry, Partner

Mike has conducted public opinion research for 23 years for non-profit organizations, foundations, universities, issue organizations, and government agencies. He works on today’s most pressing public issues such as poverty, obesity and hunger issues, reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, children’s issues, global development assistance, substance use, and more. Mike specializes in health care research, particularly issues relating to health care reform implementation, the uninsured, public health programs (Medicaid, Medicare), and more.

Before co-founding PerryUndem, Mike was a partner at the national polling firm Lake Research Partners for 16 years. He has a BA in English from Mt. St. Mary’s University and an MA in International Relations from the University of Southern California.

Tresa Undem, Partner

Tresa has conducted public opinion research for 17 years for non-profit organizations, foundations, universities, and government agencies. She works on a number of health-related policy issues, including health reform implementation, delivery system reform, health IT, costs, and quality. Tresa also works on gender equality, LGBT issues, reproductive health, immigration, and food/nutrition. She has briefed numerous state and federal policymakers on her work, including members of Congress, White House officials, and Department of Health and Human Services leadership.

Tresa holds a Master’s Degree from the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the American Association of Public Opinion Research, and has been a reviewer, presenter, and discussant at its national conferences.

Naomi Mulligan Kolb, Managing Director, Senior Vice President

Naomi has conducted public opinion research since 2008. Her expertise is knowing what is happening with every project at all times; from research development to implementation to analysis and every step in between. She is also an experienced focus group moderator. In addition to conducting and analyzing public opinion research across a broad range of health care issues, Naomi leads the supervision of survey fielding and focus group recruiting.

Naomi’s interest in public policy research began while studying in Washington, DC at UCLA’s Center for American Politics and Public Policy. This interest quickly grew into a passion for working on complex health-related policy issues and putting research into action. She holds a BA in Sociology from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Sean Dryden, Vice President

Sean has been with PerryUndem since 2013, where he has helped clients such as the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and Kaiser Family Foundation in their efforts to better understand health care issues ranging from ACA implementation, Medicaid expansion, and Medicare plan choice. He has also worked on projects ranging from obesity awareness, long-term health care, and teen pregnancy.

Sean has been involved in quantitative and qualitative research since 2007. Before joining PerryUndem, he worked at the firms Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research and Gumbinner & Davies Communications, where he focused on both international and domestic politics, issue advocacy campaigns, and corporate branding. Sean holds a BA in International Relations from Princeton University.

Kathleen Perry, Associate Analyst

Kathleen joined PerryUndem as an intern in May 2014. In her role as an associate analyst, she has contributed to research on a broad range of progressive policy issues, including health care reform, reproductive rights, and social justice. Kathleen employs both qualitative and quantitative research methods to analyze data and communicate results. She holds a BA in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland, College Park and is working towards an MA in Global Security and Government Analytics from Johns Hopkins University.

William Lawler, Junior Analyst

William has been a junior analyst with PerryUndem since the spring of 2017. Prior to working at PerryUndem, William spent time as an intern on Capitol Hill. Since joining the PerryUndem team, he has helped to conduct quantitative and qualitative research on health care issues such as food security/nutrition, community health, and Medicaid expansion. William holds a BA in Political Science and History from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor..
